Matthew Demas

Matthew Demas is a seasoned data engineer with extensive experience in data analytics and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Alteryx since January 2021, Matthew previously held the position of Analytics Team Lead at Demoulas Super Markets, Inc., where significant improvements were made to big data pipelines and reporting efficiency. Prior roles include Systems Engineer at the University of Virginia and Southern Engineering Services, focused on advancing engineering methodologies and systems. Matthew's earlier experience includes consulting on human factors engineering at the Center for Advanced Engineering & Research and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Virginia, contributing to publications in the field. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Connecticut.
