Jose Fernandes

Jose Fernandes has a diverse range of work experience. Jose started their career as a Trainee in the Mobile Network Services Department, working on European research projects related to UMTS. Jose then became a Junior Security Engineer in the Information Systems Technology Department, focusing on integrating network and systems security solutions and conducting security research projects.

After that, Jose worked as an IP Network Designer for several years before transitioning to the role of Systems Engineer. Jose later served as a Team Leader, leading the IP Solution Design team responsible for network integration and implementation of networking solutions for ISPs and telecommunication operators. Their expertise included knowledge of DPI/PCEF solutions and BSS interfaces.

Jose then joined Altice Labs, where they had various roles such as Presales & Solution Architect, Lead Solutions Architect, and ultimately became the Head of Architecture, Product Management, and Presales.

In addition to their telecom experience, Jose also served as a manager at Cineclube de Aveiro.

Jose Fernandes completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Telecommunications from Queen Mary University of London from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro between 1996 and 2001.

There is no information available regarding their education before university or any further higher education after their Master's degree. However, Jose Fernandes did obtain a certification in CCNA Routing and Switching from Cisco in April 2014.
