Benjamin Wickham

Benjamin Wickham is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and clean technology. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer for Battery Recycling at Altilium Clean Technology since July 2022, Benjamin's prior roles include Director of Process Chemistry. Benjamin's career includes significant contributions at Element Six, where responsibilities encompassed senior and research scientist positions from October 2012 to July 2022. Earlier experiences include a postdoctoral researcher role at the University of Bath, focusing on the synthesis of carbene analogues and their application in catalysis, and prior postgraduate research in metal-silicate thin film deposition. Benjamin's educational background features a PhD in Inorganic/Materials Chemistry and an MChem in Chemistry with Industrial Experience, both from the University of Bath, and foundational studies in science at Cranbrook School.
