Annie Hancock

Annie Hancock is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Altimeter since April 2025. Previously, from January 2022 to April 2025, Annie held the position of Senior Counsel in the Asset Management Unit at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where representation of the U.S. occurred in various enforcement actions. Prior experience includes nearly nine years at Ropes & Gray LLP as a Senior Associate, providing legal counsel to investment advisers and corporate clients on SEC enforcement matters, regulatory compliance, and internal investigations. Annie's legal career began with a summer internship at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in 2012. Annie earned a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies from Williams College.
