Annie Hancock

Annie Hancock serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Altimeter since April 2025. Prior to this role, Annie was a Senior Counsel in the Asset Management Unit at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from January 2022 to April 2025, where representation of the U.S. was fundamental. During a significant tenure at Ropes & Gray LLP from October 2014 to January 2022, Annie functioned as a Senior Associate, advising investment advisers and corporate clients on regulatory matters, conducting internal investigations, and managing complex litigation. Previous experience includes a Summer Associate position at Ropes & Gray LLP and a Legal Intern role in the Homicide Unit at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Annie began a legal career as a Litigation Legal Assistant at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from 2009 to 2011. Annie holds a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies from Williams College.
