Maciej Bak has worked in the software industry since 2008. Maciej began their career at Progressive Media Sp. z o. o. as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for database designing, writing stored procedures, taking care of layering application logic to the database, performance analysis of queries and procedures, designing UI, preparing SQL scripts for database updates, and accepting and correcting errors reported by the client. Maciej also managed the server (Linux) responsible for receiving bugs and notes from the application and for checking program updates.
In 2012, they joined KAMSOFT as a Software Team Leader and Database Developer. As Software Team Leader, they were the Head of the Statistical Tools Development Section, Department of Pharmaceutical Statistical Analysis, Business Support Department. Maciej designed and developed the Pharmaceutical Business Tools and worked on a project using machine learning algorithms for better data approximation. As Database Developer, they were an Independent Production Engineer - programmer, Programming Section, Department of Statistical Analyses, Department of National Healthcare System. Maciej designed and developed the Pharmacy Data Bank System and worked on projects that accumulate a set of tools for receiving, aggregating, approximating and delivering data from pharmacies in Poland.
In 2021, Maciej Bak joined AILY LABS GmbH as a Senior Database Developer. Maciej designed and developed the database architecture for SaaS cloud application with Azure Data Factory, Amazon RDS PostgreSQL and Redshift, and worked on an easy-to-integrate app for personalized business insights powered by AI written in .NET Core and React.
Currently, Maciej Bak is a Clickhouse Support Engineer at Altinity, Inc., and a Senior Database Developer at Trustly. At Trustly, they are working on PostgreSQL core and a Perl functions with fully TAP test coverage, and is responsible for designing and developing the database architecture for the worldwide seamless A2A payment system.
Maciej Bak obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information systems engineering extended by Internet technologies and computer networks from Wyższa Szkoła Technologii Informatycznych w Katowicach between 2014 and 2017.
