Anirban Biswas

Anirban Biswas has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Anirban started their career in 1994 as a BSS Manager at Vodafone and later worked as a Project Manager at Nokia, where they executed GSM Network Rollout for Vodafone in Gujarat. At Qualcomm, they served as a Project Manager and then moved to WFI as a Project Manager.

In 2001, Anirban joined Motorola Networks as a Regional Program Manager, where they were responsible for overall leadership and line management in the Eastern Region. Anirban managed the rollout of GSM and CDMA networks for Airtel, TATA Indicom, and Reliance Telecom, while also handling account management and P/L responsibilities. Additionally, they provided network operation and maintenance support for BSNL networks in South India.

From 2009 to 2012, Anirban worked as a Project Director and Zonal PMO Head at ZTE, and from 2012 to 2014, they served as a Project Management Consultant and Faculty at the Centre for Excellence in Project Management Pvt Ltd. During this time, they provided consulting services and training on project management best practices.

In 2014, Anirban joined Ericsson as a Project Head in the Global PMO, engaging in customer project management and fulfillment in Europe and Africa. Anirban completed internal process re-engineering programs in Sweden and managed customer service delivery in Ethiopia and Costa Rica.

Anirban's most recent position is as the Director Program Management at Altiostar Networks, Inc., where they lead the development and deployment of virtualized 4G LTE networks outside India. Anirban utilizes virtualized RAN, NFV, SON, Small Cell, and NB-IOT technologies to build carrier-grade NFV platforms.

Prior to this, Anirban briefly worked as the SVP & Advisor at the International Institute of Projects and Program Management (i2P2M), providing strategic guidance and insights.

Throughout their career, Anirban has demonstrated their expertise in project and program management, consulting, training, and industry-specific technologies.

Anirban Biswas has an extensive education history and various certifications. Anirban obtained a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Calcutta from 1984 to 1988. In 1993 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Continuing their education, Anirban earned an Executive Program for Business Management (EPBM) degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2007 to 2008. Anirban also acquired a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2007.

Alongside their formal education, Anirban Biswas obtained several additional certifications. Some notable certifications include Certified Lead Auditor to The Telecom Industry - TL 9000 from SAI Global in 2007, ITIL® certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2016, and PRINCE2® (Practitioner) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2017.
