Todd K. Rosengart

Dr. Rosengart is Professor and Chairman of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at the Baylor Medical College. He also holds the DeBakey-Bard Chair of Surgery, and is Professor of Heart and Vascular Disease at the Texas Heart Institute. Before arriving in Houston, he was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at SUNY-Stony Brook, and was Co-Director of The Stony Brook University Medical Center Heart Center. Dr. Rosengart received his MD degree through the Northwestern University Medical Education Honors Program. He holds twelve U.S. patents and is the author of over 150 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, reviews and book chapters. He is co-founder of Vitals.com (MDx, LLC), one of the world’s largest physician search websites with over 10M monthly unique visits, and co-founder of XyloCor Therapeutics, a gene therapy startup company.
