Leigh Gawne

Chief Technology Officer at Altium

Leigh Gawne is the current Chief Technology Officer at Altium. Prior to this, they were the Founder & CEO of Ciiva, a cloud-based electronic component search and Bill of Materials management company. Leigh started developing the core products in 2010 and led the company to public product launch in July 2013. In July 2015, Ciiva was acquired by Altium.

Before Ciiva, Leigh was the Chief Technology Officer at Toradex AG from January 2010 to December 2014. At Toradex, they were responsible for product development roadmap and delivery and management of all engineering teams and associated resources. Leigh also led the expansion of the engineering capabilities to a development team focused around ARM based platforms, including in house support for Linux based software stacks in addition to Windows CE/Embedded Compact.

Leigh is an inventor and product architect behind the BOM management system software and electronic component database. Leigh is also the key inventor behind the Apalis System-on-Module product line and responsible for the entire product from concept through to successful market introduction.

Leigh Gawne is an electronic engineer who specializes in electronics. Leigh attended The University of Manchester, where they earned their degree in electronic engineering.
