Karel Martens

Karel Martens is an Associate at ALTIUS since November 2022, previously serving as an Associate at Olislaegers & De Creus and a Member at Awerian in a concurrent role from November 2021 to November 2022. Prior experience includes position as Junior Associate at Nelissen Grade advocaten-avocats-lawyers from September 2020 to November 2021, and roles in the waste management sector as a Refuse Collector at SUEZ from July 2017 to September 2020. Karel has also held summer internships at Van Havermaet and Bart Drieskens & Frank Goddeeris in 2017 and 2016, respectively, and worked as a Factory Worker at FrieslandCampina in July 2014 and as a Waiter-Bartender at Brasserie-restaurant 't Gasthuis in 2013. Karel holds multiple law degrees, including a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from Université catholique de Lyon, a Master's degree in Law from Université catholique de Louvain, and additional Master's degrees from KU Leuven and Universitat de Barcelona, along with a Bachelor's degree in Law from UHasselt.
