ALTIUS
Roel Verheyden is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate at ALTIUS since September 2022, where representation in international and national disputes related to corporate law, insolvency law, civil law, and procedural law is provided. Prior experience includes a role as Junior Associate in Dispute Resolution at Arcas Law from January 2021 to July 2022, advising companies on various commercial disputes. Roel Verheyden completed a PhD focused on the enforcement of liability claims in corporate bankruptcy law at KU Leuven from October 2016 to September 2020, after obtaining a Doctor of Law degree from the same institution. Additional educational credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) from KU Leuven and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from both KU Leuven and Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. Early experience includes a summer trainee position at Unia, where case law analysis on discrimination in employment relations was conducted.
