Daniel Bates

Daniel Bates has over 13 years of experience as a Research Scientist at the Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences. Daniel specialized in DNA and RNA library preparation, sample/library quality control, next-generation sequencing, and lab automation. Daniel also worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Washington for 10 years, where they provided customer service and support, performed sequencing (both Sanger and Next Gen), and coordinated projects. Currently, they are the Head of the High Scale Data Unit at the Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences.

Daniel Bates earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington in the years 2001 to 2005.
