Helge Weingart

Helge Weingart is a microbiologist with extensive experience in quality management and research within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Stellv. Leiter QC Assays at altona Diagnostics GmbH since July 2021, Helge previously held roles at Beiersdorf, focusing on global microbiology management and quality innovation, as well as health care quality management, where significant contributions included the creation of a QM handbook for medical devices and conducting risk analyses for pharmaceuticals. With a strong academic background, including a Dr. rer. nat. in Microbiology from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Helge's prior research includes significant projects on drug-specific uptake systems and multidrug efflux in plant pathogenic bacteria at Jacobs University Bremen and postdoctoral work at the Max-Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology.
