Cheryl Smythe

Cheryl Smythe currently serves as the Head of Scientific Engagement at Altos Labs since May 2022. Prior to this role, Cheryl held several positions at the Babraham Institute, including Head of Strategic Research Development, International Funding Support Officer, and Co-ordinator of the European Science Foundation Research Network on Functional Genomics from January 2004 to May 2022. Cheryl's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (1993-1997) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA Mod.) in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin (1988-1992). Additionally, Cheryl worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from January 1998 to January 2004.
