Diego Acosta-Alvear

Diego Acosta-Alvear serves as a Principal Investigator at Altos Labs' Bay Area Institute since 2022. Prior to this role, Diego was an Assistant Professor at the University of California Santa Barbara from 2016 to January 2022 and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF-HHMI from 2008 to 2016. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from New York University (2003-2008), a Master's degree in Human/Medical Genetics from Universidad de Los Andes (2001-2002), and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Universidad de Los Andes (1997-2001).
