Sergei Manakov

Sergei Manakov is a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at Altos Labs since January 2023, previously holding the position of Associate Director and Principal Scientist of Bioinformatics at Eclipse Bioinnovations from December 2019 to January 2023. Prior to this, Sergei served as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Illumina from October 2015 to December 2019 and completed a Postdoctoral Scholar role at the California Institute of Technology from January 2012 to September 2015, focusing on automation of high throughput sequencing data analysis. Additionally, experience as a Visiting PhD Student at EMBL-EBI from January 2008 to January 2011 involved computational data analysis under Dr. Anton Enright. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh.
