Valentina Pedoia

Valentina Pedoia is a highly experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as Senior Director of AI/ML Computer Vision at Altos Labs since July 2022. Leading the Image Analysis and Visualization Group, Valentina focuses on transforming biological images to enhance the understanding of cellular health and aging processes. Concurrently, Valentina holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, where research centers on applying machine learning to osteoarthritis, including advanced modeling of joint interactions and deep learning for tissue segmentation. Valentina's academic journey includes a PhD from the Politecnico di Milano and previous roles in advanced imaging analysis and image processing innovation.
