Ian Ward

Ian Ward is an experienced rope access plater with a comprehensive background in the oil and gas industry. Currently employed at ALTRAD since February 2021, Ian has held various roles including chargehand plater at Stork Energy Resourcing and Stork Technical Services, and plater positions at Wood Group and AMEC. Notable projects include work on the Brent Delta decommissioning job, reactivation of rigs such as Piper Bravo and Dunbar, and structural enhancements on several platforms. Ian possesses a strong foundation in metal fabrication, having completed NVQs at Hartlepool College between 2001 and 2005. Ian's expertise encompasses both new construction and the renewal of steelwork across multiple offshore platforms.
