James Fehily

James Fehily has a strong background in fund accounting and financial services. James currently holds the position of Head of Fund Accounting at Altum Group since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SS&C GlobeOp as an Associate Director, where they were responsible for managing the accounting and reporting function for private equity clients. James also gained experience in private equity fund administration and worked with fund managers and Luxembourg AIFMs. Before that, they were a Manager at SS&C GlobeOp and held the role of Senior Manager at SANNE, where they managed a specialized services team and oversaw fund administration, accounting, and reporting for private equity, debt, and real estate clients. James also played a key role in developing the team in Luxembourg and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Fund Accountant at MUFG Investor Services and as an Audit Senior at EY, specializing in financial services. James gained experience in conducting audits for various financial services companies, including hedge funds, UCITS funds, and investment management companies. James also had responsibilities in budget planning, team leadership, and financial statement preparation.

James Fehily completed their education in a chronological order. In 2005, they enrolled at University College Dublin and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a specialization in Accounting. James attended this institution until 2009. James then joined Technological University Dublin in 2009 and completed a Masters of Accountancy (MSc (Accounting)) degree in 2010. Finally, from 2010 to 2015, they attended Chartered Accountants Ireland, where they obtained the ACA, Chartered Accountant certification.
