Ryo Kumagai

Ryo Kumagai has extensive work experience in various sales and business development roles. Ryo is currently the Director of Business Development at Altum Technologies since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sabik Marine as a Regional Sales Manager from August 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Sabik Marine, Ryo held multiple positions at Altum Technologies. Ryo was the Business Unit Director from January 2020 to August 2020 and an Account Executive from September 2018 to January 2020.

From August 2014 to September 2018, Ryo worked as an Area Sales Manager at Obelux Oy, where they were responsible for sales in the wind energy industry. Ryo'srole also involved engaging with turbine manufacturers, introducing aviation lighting solutions, and actively participating in discussions with authorities and aviation safety working groups.

Prior to that, they were a Sales Manager at Panphonics from September 2011 to August 2014. Ryo'sresponsibilities included global sales and marketing of directional speakers, managing industrial projects, and transitioning the company to a digital signage solution provider.

Ryo also has experience as the Owner and Sales Director of European Asia Global Trading, where they handled import and export business between Asia and Japan, primarily in pharmaceutical, military, cosmetics, and design products. Ryo successfully opened European markets through trade show engagements.

In addition, Ryo co-founded Mycoal Europe, a Finnish limited company that focused on European sales for Mycoal Corporation (Japan). As a Sales Manager and board member deputy, they contributed to a significant increase in sales, particularly in pharmaceutical, sports, and military industries.

Ryo'searly work experience includes a role as a Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young, where they worked on a New Product Development project for a global Japanese electronic manufacturing company. Ryo'sresponsibilities involved researching and implementing process adjustments to streamline the manufacturing process through effective supply chain management.

Throughout their career, Ryo Kumagai has demonstrated their expertise in sales and business development, successfully driving growth and facilitating partnerships across various industries and global markets.

Ryo Kumagai completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Policy Management with a focus on marketing at Keio University from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in marketing, entrepreneurship, and Finnish language from Jyväskylän yliopisto, which was completed from 2002 to 2006.
