Mark Potter began their work experience as a Project Architect at Petroff Partnership Architects in 1989. Mark then served as a Project Architect at Douglas Cardinal Architect from 1991 to 1993. After that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Scotiabank (Real Estate) from 1994 to 2000. Following this, they took on the role of Associate/Contract Administrator at Adamson & Associates from 2000 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Project Manager at Trinity Development Group.

In 2007, Mark joined Hines Canada Management II ULC as a Construction Manager, where they stayed until 2016. During this time, they gained extensive experience in the Toronto real estate market and was responsible for design development, budget control, scheduling, value engineering, contractor and consultant contract negotiations, and material purchases.

In 2016, Mark had multiple roles. Mark became a Principal at Elevation Project Management, offering project planning and delivery services to the Real Estate and AE industries. Additionally, they served as a Principal at International Project Solutions and Owner at Elevation Project Management Inc.

From 2017 onwards, Mark has been working at Altus Group, starting as a Senior Project Manager and eventually advancing to Project Director. In this role, they lead a team and specializes in Design, Construction, and Value Creation for real estate projects.

Mark Potter earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Bishop's University in 1977. Mark then pursued a Bachelor of Architecture (Hon) degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1984. In terms of additional certifications, Mark obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2001 and became a Licensed Architect through the Ontario Association of Architects in 1989.
