Jiaqi Yuan

Jiaqi Yuan is a Senior Hardware Engineer at AlumaPower Corporation since March 2025, specializing in high power and high current system design, including battery gauge modules and boost converters. Prior experience includes a role as a Power Electronics Design Engineer at Socomec Group, where Jiaqi designed UPS PCBs and engaged in training and commissioning. Jiaqi's research experience at McMaster University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow involved simulation verification and the design of a 20 kW DCDC converter, along with roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, focusing on electric vehicle onboard chargers. Previous research at Eaton concentrated on a liquid-cooled DCDC converter for eVTOL and the control of PFC converters. Jiaqi's educational background includes a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McMaster University, a Master’s degree, and a Bachelor's degree from Beijing Jiaotong University.
