David Alonzo

David Alonzo has a strong background in drug product development and formulation, with experience in various roles at different companies. David is currently working as the Executive Director of Drug Product Development at Alumis since June 2023, having previously served as the Senior Director in the same department from October 2021 to May 2023. Prior to Alumis, they worked at Myovant Sciences as the Director of Formulation Development and Manufacturing from July 2020 to October 2021, and as the Associate Director and Senior Research Scientist in the same department from January 2019 to July 2020 and August 2017 to December 2018 respectively. Before joining Myovant Sciences, David worked at Gilead Sciences as a Research Scientist in Formulation and Process Development from February 2015 to August 2017, and as a Research Scientist from March 2013 to January 2015. David also gained a significant amount of experience at Abbott Laboratories as a Senior Research Scientist in Pharmaceutics from September 2010 to February 2013. David's early career includes a research assistant role at Purdue University from January 2006 to September 2010, and a summer intern position at Abbott Laboratories in 2008.

David Alonzo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Purdue University in 2005. David later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy from the same university, which they completed in 2010.
