Jacob MacDonald

Jacob MacDonald is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical development sectors. Currently serving as a Scientist II at Alumis, Jacob previously held roles at Principia Biopharma as a Scientist in Process Chemistry and at Nanosyn as a Research Scientist, where responsibilities included evaluating and completing multi-step synthetic routes. Jacob earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, studying under Prof. Annaliese K, and has additional experience as a Student Co-op at GSK and a Research Associate at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where projects involved the synthesis of complex organic molecules. Educational background includes a B.S. in Chemistry from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and high school education at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
