John Barlow

John Barlow serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Alumni Ventures since October 2023. Prior experience includes significant roles at BlackRock as Director of USWA Alternatives and Head of Strategic Accounts/Business Development from June 2018 to February 2023, and as Principal in Private Wealth Management National Accounts at The Blackstone Group between October 2011 and December 2017. John has also held leadership positions in business development at Battery Global Advisors and JLS Capital Management, the latter being an emerging asset manager. Previous roles span managing director positions at Lincoln Vale LLC, and as Director of Alternative Investments at Bank of America. Earlier career experience includes corporate strategy management at FleetBoston Financial and consulting at Diamond Technology Partners. Educational background includes an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
