Shaz Kahng

Shaz Kahng is a seasoned CEO and Board Director with an exceptional track record in consumer-focused businesses. Shaz was a board director for Gymboree, the $1B children’s apparel retailer, and stepped in as CEO after a failed turnaround attempt by company leaders. Six weeks into her tenure when the company was forced to file for bankruptcy, she led an effort that culminated in the sale of all Gymboree brands. As CEO of Lucy Activewear, she spearheaded a major turnaround, growing revenues and achieving profitability for the first time in the company’s 12-year history. As a senior executive at Nike, Shaz built a reputation of launching successful products and turning around and growing businesses. She holds an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Wharton and a BS in Food Science & Chemistry from Cornell University.
