Engineering Manager at Alva Labs

Fredrik Schöld (Salin) has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Fredrik currently works as an Engineering Manager at Alva Labs since February 2022. Prior to this, they were employed at Netlight Consulting as a Consultant from August 2015 to February 2022, where they specialized in full-stack web development, app development, coaching, and leadership.

Before Netlight Consulting, Fredrik was the Founder/Owner of AssureTech Sweden, an IT consulting company focusing on web and app development from August 2012 to August 2015. At AssureTech, they worked on various web development projects involving PHP, Wordpress, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SEO, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, and other JavaScript frameworks.

Fredrik also completed a Master Thesis project at Netlight Consulting from January 2015 to June 2015. During this time, they designed and implemented a web-based streaming platform with a focus on user experience (UX) activities and Agile methods.

Furthermore, Fredrik held the position of Student Ambassador at Skill Scandinavia AB from September 2012 to January 2015, where they managed the relationship between the company and students at Linköping University. Fredrik assisted with marketing and event management.

In addition, Fredrik completed an internship at Zenterio AB in Linköping from September 2013 to December 2013, as part of their Double Degree Master Program. The internship involved developing tools to facilitate the requirement engineering process at the company.

Fredrik also gained experience as the Head of Corporate Relations and Vice Project Manager at LINK-dagarna, a career fair for IT and software development students, from April 2012 to February 2013.

Before their career in the IT industry, Fredrik worked as a First Assistant at Willys/Axfood from March 2008 to August 2012, and as a Team Leader in the Swedish Armed Forces from August 2009 to June 2010.

Fredrik Schöld (Salin) completed their education in a chronological order. From 2006 to 2009, they attended Åva gymnasium, specializing in Natural Sciences. Fredrik then pursued their higher education at Linköping University from 2010 to 2015, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Software Engineering. In the same period, from 2013 to 2015, they also attended Harbin Institute of Technology, where they earned another Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, this time in International Software Engineering.
