Barry Currie

Barry Currie is an accomplished software engineer and technical leader with extensive experience in the software development industry. Currently serving as Chief Engineer and Managing Principal at First Derivative since June 2022, Barry previously held roles including Senior Software Developer at MIK Fund Solutions and Owner/Director at TAB IT Limited, among others. With a strong background in .NET development, Barry has managed software development teams and undertook significant technical responsibilities at Dunbia Group, where duties included project management and providing technical direction. Additionally, Barry has experience as a part-time lecturer in computer programming at Southern Regional College, where knowledge was imparted on Foundation Degree Computing Science. Barry holds a BSc. (Hons) in Computing Science from Ulster University, obtained in 2005.
