Mariah McDonald

Mariah McDonald is an accomplished professional in the fields of apiculture and herbalism, currently serving as the Beekeeping Field Specialist for Alvéole since March 2024, and previously as the Beekeeping Team Manager for the Southwest region. With extensive experience, Mariah has been an Apiculturist at Swarm & Tender since March 2016, focusing on honeybee conservation and education. Mariah also contributes to product development and formulation as an Herbalist at Aceae Botanicals. Past roles include Regional Operations Manager at The Best Bees Company, Direct Sales Associate at Croix Estate, Enologist and Laboratory Technician at Venge Vineyards, and Artisan Beekeeper and Activities Manager at Carmel Valley Ranch. Mariah’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mycology/Biology/Botany from The Evergreen State College and certifications in Herbalism from the Ohlone Herbal Center, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC San Diego.
