Cheryl Cooper

Cheryl Cooper currently serves as an Instructor of Social Work and Director of Field Instruction at Alvernia University since February 2019 and has held the position of Adjunct Professor. In addition, Cheryl has been a Custody Evaluator at CCES Bucks County since November 2020 and previously worked as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor from August 2015 to December 2023 with DBHID. Cheryl is certified to teach both youth and adult curricula of mental health first aid, focusing on recognizing mental health disorders and providing appropriate assistance. Additionally, Cheryl worked as an External Field Instructor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from September 2020 to May 2021 and served as the Assistant Director of Child Welfare Services at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia from August 1997 to July 2020. Cheryl holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
