Bridget Brizek has a diverse work experience, starting in 1995 at Starke Memorial Hospital as a Laboratory Manager, Infection Preventionist, and Medical Technologist. Bridget then joined Select Specialty Hospital in 2004 as the Director of Quality Improvement. In 2008, Brizek moved to Medical Specialists as a Laboratory Manager. Finally, they joined Alverno Laboratories in 2013 and held various positions, including Outreach Manager, Director of Outreach Operations, and currently, Director of Outreach and Support Operations.
Bridget Brizek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Purdue University. Bridget also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana Institute of Technology. In addition to their formal education, Bridget has participated in various certification programs, including the Executive Program in Corporate Strategy and High Performance Leadership at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Bridget is also certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and holds certifications in Open Water Diving and Rescue Diving from PADI.

Alverno Laboratories
Alverno Laboratories manages 32 hospital laboratories and provides laboratory services to two free standing emergency departments and thousands of physician offices and other clients in the Midwest. Alverno has been providing outreach laboratory services in the northern Indiana communities since the laboratory was originally built in 1999. Alverno has more than twenty-five patient service centers, with the number expected to grow. Alverno has a state-of-the-art central laboratory and is one of the largest regional laboratories in the Midwest. Alverno exhibits a culture of customer service, highly reliable clinical and anatomic pathology testing with a focus on providing excellent laboratory service for the communities we serve. In addition to the more than 350 laboratory professionals at the Hammond facility and over 2,100 laboratory professionals system wide, Pathology Consultants, Inc. has five full time M.D. Pathologists providing anatomic pathology service and medical directorship at the central laboratory and about twenty pathologists throughout the Alverno system. The Alverno central laboratory became ISO 15189:2012 certified in 2015. We are proud of this accomplishment and credit our exceptional employees for achieving this certification.
