Ramona Wheeler Sphr

Ramona Wheeler, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a wealth of work experience in various roles and industries. Ramona currently holds the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Alvis, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Support Services at Alvis, Inc. from September 2020 to May 2022.

Before joining Alvis, Inc., Ramona held the role of Managing Director, Risk Management/PREA Coordinator at Alvis, Inc. from January 2020 to September 2020. Ramona also served as the Managing Director, Social Enterprises at Alvis, Inc. from August 2014 to January 2020.

Prior to joining Alvis, Inc., they held the position of Vice President of Operations at Alvis, Inc. from January 2009 to August 2014. Before that, they served as the Human Resources Director at Alvis, Inc. from April 2006 to August 2009, and as the Human Resources Manager from October 2005 to April 2006.

Outside of Alvis, Inc., Ramona served as Trustee Chair at Mountaintop Missionary Baptist Church from 2009 to 2020. Ramona also worked as a Consultant at Proficient HR from May 2004 to April 2005.

Before their role at Alvis, Inc., Ramona worked at the State of Ohio as the Deputy Director, High Performance Workplace Services from June 1983 to November 2003.

Throughout their career, Ramona has gained extensive experience and expertise in human resources, risk management, social enterprises, and operations.

Ramona Wheeler, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2009 to 2012.

In terms of certifications, Ramona obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in October 2017 and January 2014, as well as the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) certification from HRCI in December 2007. In addition, they obtained the SHRM-SCP (SHRM - Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in January 2015 and the Certified PREA Auditor certification from the U.S. Department of Justice in July 2018. Moreover, Ramona acquired the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI in September 2020 and the SHRM-SCP (SHRM - Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in September 2018.
