Daniel Shearer

Daniel Shearer is an experienced professional in automation and process engineering, currently serving as the Director and Head of Automation at Alvotech since November 2021. Prior to this position, Daniel held multiple roles at Elanco, including Director of Process Engineering and Automation and Process Engineering and Automation Leader from November 2018 to November 2021. Daniel also worked at Eli Lilly and Company from January 2013 to November 2018 as Automation Group Leader and Automation Manager at Eli Lilly Speke Operations. Additional experience includes positions as Process Automation Engineer at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics and a Process Engineer role during a summer internship at AstraZeneca. Daniel began their career as a Process Engineering Intern at Nicholas Piramal India Limited. Daniel holds an MEng (Hons) 1st in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, completed in 2009.
