Heimir Thorsteinsson

Heimir Thorsteinsson has over 25 years of experience in finance and auditing. Heimir started their career at Deloitte, where they worked as an Audit Department member before progressing to roles such as Audit Manager and Audit Partner. In 2006, they joined Teva Pharmaceuticals as the VP Finance - Global Consolidation. After 11 years, they moved to Alvogen as the VP Finance before transitioning to their current role as VP Finance Corporate Controller at Alvotech in 2020.

Heimir Thorsteinsson completed their Gymnasium degree at Menntaskolinn við Hamrahlíð from 1986 to 1990. Heimir then pursued their higher education at Háskóli Íslands, where they obtained a Cand. Oecon degree in Accounting and auditing from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they attended The Institute of State Authorized Public Accountants in Iceland from 1998 to 1999 and obtained a State Authorised Accountant degree with a focus on Accounting and Audit.
