Sesselja Ómarsdóttir

Sesselja Ómarsdóttir's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Product Specialist at Pfizer for a year. From 2005 to 2022, Sesselja Ómarsdóttir was a Professor of Pharmaceutical and Natural Products Chemistry at Háskóli Íslands, with various titles and responsibilities, including being the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences for a brief period in 2015. In 2015, they also joined Alvotech, where they held multiple positions, including Vice President of Analytics, Head of Analytical Method Development, Senior Vice President Analytical R&D, and Senior Vice President Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Quality Transformation Project Office at Alvotech.

Sesselja Ómarsdóttir completed their education in Pharmacy at Háskóli Íslands, earning a Cand. Pharm. and Ph.D. degree from 1995 to 2006. Sesselja also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the same institution from 2001 to 2005.
