James Connell is a seasoned neuroscientist with extensive experience in the field of neurodegeneration. Currently serving as Scientific Director and Therapeutics Project Lead for the MND Translational Challenge at LifeArc, James Connell oversees research initiatives aimed at finding therapeutic solutions. In addition to this role, James Connell has been with Alzheimer's Research UK since October 2017, holding positions including Research Manager and Head of Translational Science, with a focus on scientific and operational oversight of the Dementia Consortium. Previously, James Connell worked as a Principal Scientist at Talisman Therapeutics Limited and as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at the University of Cambridge, where research centered on neurodegenerative disorders. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience from King's College London and MSc and BS degrees in Neuroscience and Physiology from the University of Leeds.
