Dr Jason Gray

Dr. Jason Gray has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr Jason began their career as a Registered Mental Nurse, working with adults with severe and complex mental illness at Downshire Hospital. Dr Jason then transitioned to Warrenstown House, where they cared for children and young people with mental health disorders. Following this, they worked as a Staff Nurse in adult urology at Charing Cross Hospital.

Dr. Gray then moved into pediatric nursing, starting as a Staff Nurse in orthopedics and the spinal unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Dr Jason continued their pediatric nursing career at Royal Free Hospital and St Mary's Hospital NHS Trust as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department.

In 2001, Dr. Gray joined Whittington Health as a Senior ED Charge Nurse, where they played a pivotal role in service improvement and clinical pathways for pediatric emergency care. Dr Jason later became the Pediatric Clinical Nurse Manager, overseeing a large general pediatric inpatient unit and ambulatory care service.

In 2005, Dr. Gray joined Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust as an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner and later became a Nurse Consultant. During their time there, they developed policies and procedures for childhood injuries and illnesses, established and managed the Advanced Pediatric Emergency Practitioner Service, and created the ACOrNS team to reduce emergency department attendances.

From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Gray worked at Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital as a Nurse Manager, responsible for establishing the emergency and ambulance retrieval service for the first dedicated children's hospital in the UAE.

Most recently, Dr. Gray has been employed at Amana Healthcare. Dr Jason started as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations and worked closely with the Amana Healthcare Directors to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient inpatient services. In 2023, they transitioned to the role of Acting Executive Director, where they played a pivotal role in delivering operational efficiencies and maintaining high-quality services. Dr. Gray is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Amana Healthcare.

Dr Jason Gray completed their education in the following order:

- From 1990 to 1993, they attended Eastern Area College of Nursing and received a degree in Registered Mental Nurse.

- From 1994 to 1996, they studied at Tralee General Hospital and obtained a degree as a Registered General Nurse.

- In 1997 and 1998, they pursued a Diploma in Higher Education in Children's Nursing at London South Bank University.

- From 2000 to 2001, they attended Middlesex University and earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Accident & Emergency Nursing.

- In 2001, they enrolled at Imperial College London and completed a degree in Advanced Nursing Practice.

- From 2003 to 2004, they studied at the University of Hertfordshire and obtained a degree as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

- In 2005 and 2006, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Practice at Middlesex University.

- In 2006 and 2007, they attended the University of Brighton and obtained a degree in Non-medical Prescribing.

- Finally, from 2010 to 2016, they completed their Doctorate in Healthcare at King's College London.
