Quenby Delgado has extensive experience in child welfare and support services, currently serving as a Foster Care Specialist at Amara since July 2013. Prior to this role, Quenby worked as an Intake Assessment and Training Specialist at Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services from January 2008 to June 2013, and as a Family Support Specialist at Arizona's Children Association for a brief tenure in 2007. Quenby's academic background includes a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services, both earned from Central Washington University. Additionally, Quenby served as a Full-Time Non-Tenure Track Lecturer at Central Washington University from September 2003 to August 2006.

Amara is committed to positive long-term outcomes for children and families. We drive systemic change, promote healing, racial and LGBTQIA+ equity, by offering programs and services to families engaged in foster care, and to adoptees and families, post-adoption. Foster Care Services: We guide, prepare, and support foster families to ensure that every kid in foster care can be placed in a stable, loving home. Post Adoption Services: Our Post-Adoption services support Amara adoptees and their families through community-building, mentorship, education, and more. Amara welcomes youth, adults, and families into our program regardless of marital status, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, home ownership, income, or education.
