Carlos Nunes

Carlos Nunes has been working in the translation and localization field since 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they were an Engineering Civil Intern at Laboratório de Saneamento da UEL. In 2016, they worked as an Independent Translator providing professional translation, subtitling, interpreting and proofreading services. Carlos also worked at Amara Subtitling as a Subtitles Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for Quality Assurance procedures and for managing a team of 25 translators. Carlos achieved a 79% error reduction. In 2018, they worked as a Translator at Terralingua Technical Translations, translating and post-editing technical material and complying with international quality management standards ISO 9001 and ISO 17100. Carlos delivered 40+ projects and translated 200,000+ words. In 2019, they worked as a Translator at Agência Brasileira de Traduções, performing consecutive legal interpreting and translating trilingual technical content.

Carlos Nunes completed a Postgraduate degree in Professional Translation Theory and Practice from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná in 2020. Carlos obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from UEL - Universidade Estadual de Londrina in 2016. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 2015.
