Chien Siang Yu attended Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences from 1976 to 1981, where they obtained a degree in Datentechnik. In 2007, they also completed a Postgraduate Executive Programme at Peking University, specializing in the Global Public Policy Executive Training Program. Prior to their university studies, they attended National Junior College from 1973 to 1974, and before that, they attended ACS, although the specific dates and field of study for both institutions are unknown.
