James Tynan

With more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality sector James leads the expansion and development of new hotels for Amaris Hospitality.

Prior to joining Amaris James held the role of President of Hospitality for the Alshaya Group in Kuwait where he was responsible for launching their entry into the hotel industry, sourcing hotel developments across the Middle East, and agreeing master franchise deals with major international brands and ultimately establishing their hotel platform.

Prior to the Alysha Group, James spent 10 years with Hilton as Vice President of Real Estate and Asset management for Europe optimizing the results of their Hilton owned, leased and joint venture portfolio hotels. As a member of the European Executive Team James formed the investment strategy for these hotels delivering optimum results and asset value for Hilton. Earlier in his career James spent time working with Meridien, Sheraton and Clarion hotels across diverse geographies including operations in the USA, UK, Africa and parts of the Middle East.

James is a graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management.
