J. Michael French is an accomplished biotechnology executive with extensive experience in corporate leadership and development. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Amaro Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2021, French has previously held significant roles including Managing Director at Otimo Biotech, VP of Strategy & Corporate Development and Head of Global Transactions at XuanZhu Biopharmaceutical Ltd., and Chairman, President & CEO at Marina Biotech, Inc. With a solid educational foundation that includes an M.S. in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, French also possesses a wealth of experience as a consultant and mentor to early-stage biotechnology companies, focusing on leadership, fundraising, and corporate strategy.
