Peter Macgregor has a diverse and extensive work experience in the marketing and telecommunications industry. Peter most recently served as the CMO at amaysim since October 2023. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder of East Sydney Brewing from August 2017 onwards.

Peter also held various roles at Telstra, starting as a Marketing and Sales Graduate in 2005. Peter then progressed to become the Head of Consumer Marketing / Chapter Type Lead, overseeing a team of 40+ marketers and accountable for brand consideration and driving demand from January 2022 to October 2023. Peter also served as the Consumer Marketing Chapter Lead from July 2019 to March 2022, and as the General Manager Consumer CRM (& Digital Performance Marketing) from October 2017 to September 2020. Additionally, they held the position of Principal Mobile and Home Marketing, Consumer from October 2018 to July 2019.

Before joining Telstra, Peter worked at Optus and Virgin Mobile Australia in various marketing roles. At Optus, they were the Digital Customer Engagement & Communications Director, Director of Home Retention & Lifecycle Marketing, Director of Customer Upgrade Marketing, and Marketing Manager - Devices & Subsidy. At Virgin Mobile Australia, they served as the Acting Head of Product Marketing and Marketing Manager Product & Propositions.

Peter began their career at Singtel Optus as a Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Manager in the mobile broadband and internet and IP sectors.

Overall, Peter Macgregor has a strong background in marketing, with extensive experience in roles of increasing responsibility and leadership within telecommunications companies.

Peter Macgregor obtained a Masters of Business in Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Business from the same university, specializing in Marketing, E-Business, and Strategic Management, from 2000 to 2003. Before their university education, Peter attended Knox Grammar from 1988 to 1999.
