Alexis Bates, LSW, MSW, AASW

Alexis Bates, LSW, MSW, AASW, has a wealth of experience in the mental health and social work fields. Alexis began their career in 2017 as a Community Resource and Education Team Member with Global Vision International. In 2018, they became a School Social Worker at Ross Elementary School. In 2019, they took on the role of Nonprofit Social Worker at The GrowHaus. In 2020, they were a Program Therapist at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center and a Clinical Social Worker at Aurora Mental Health Center, where they attentively carried a caseload of clients and engaged in weekly individual therapy sessions utilizing Trauma Systems Therapy and other modalities, planned and facilitated weekly group therapy groups, and artfully deescalated crisis situations utilizing CPI certified nonviolent crisis management skills. In 2021, they became a Mental Health Therapist at Amaze Health.

Alexis Bates, LSW, MSW, AASW has an education history that includes a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from The University of Kansas, obtained between 2015 and 2019. Alexis then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, obtained between 2019 and 2020. In addition, they hold two certifications: an Animal Assisted Social Work Certificate from the University of Denver, obtained in June 2020, and a Service Learning Certificate from The University of Kansas, obtained in December 2018.
