Arun Nair

Arun Nair is an accomplished Senior Applied Scientist with significant experience in machine learning and deep learning applications. At Amazon, Arun led the ML strategy for the Multi Device Experiences team, achieving a 52% error reduction and generating over $3 million in annual revenue through advancements in Echo SpatialPerception. Previous roles include Graduate Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University, where Arun developed a pioneering deep learning approach using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for ultrasound imaging, resulting in fourteen peer-reviewed publications. Arun also contributed to Microsoft by creating a high-quality speech and noise dataset for training deep learning algorithms and enhancing speech processing technologies during internships at Microsoft and Snap Inc. Arun holds a PhD in Deep Learning from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
