John Teague McGinley

John Teague (JT) is a senior leader at Amazon, where he oversees a global portfolio of inbound and receiving automation solutions across thousands of facilities worldwide. In this role, JT directs the strategy, development, and deployment of advanced automation technologies, partnering closely with teams across product management, software and hardware engineering, UX, research science, and robotics to deliver scalable innovations that enhance safety, efficiency, and operational performance across Amazon’s global operations network.

Before joining Amazon, JT served as a strategy consultant for Mastercard, advising executive leaders on digital transformation, product expansion, and long-range strategic initiatives. Prior to Mastercard, he was a Director at a bespoke strategy consultancy, leading high-impact engagements for multinational clients and high-growth ventures. Earlier in his career, JT held the role of Head of Commercial at a rapidly scaling engineering company, where he shaped commercial strategy, customer partnerships, and revenue-driven product development.

JT began his career at Bloomberg LP, where he led the product function for Vault, a compliance and surveillance platform adopted by leading banks and asset managers.

JT holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Business Analysis and Strategic Management, both from the University of Manchester Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Finance specialism from Dublin City University.

Having lived and worked in New York, London, Dublin, and multiple EU countries, JT brings a global perspective and deep experience navigating complex, cross-cultural operating environments.
