Mita Mahadevan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and search technologies. Currently serving as the Director of Applied Science and General Manager at Amazon, Mita leads the A9 Search Relevance and Visual Shopping team, focusing on enhancing search quality and natural language understanding across various shopping experiences. Prior to Amazon, Mita held significant roles at Apple, where leadership in search and display ad technology contributed to exponential business growth, and at Intuit, where the development of machine learning and data products was pivotal. Mita is also the founder of the Experimentation & AB Testing Meetup and has held engineering and management positions at several other technology companies. Mita holds a Certificate in Statistical Learning from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
