Parnian Afshar, PhD, is an accomplished data scientist and applied scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and information systems engineering. Recently employed at Amazon as an Applied Scientist II, both from February 2022 to July 2023 and again from July 2023 to August 2024, Parnian has developed expertise in data-driven solutions. Previous roles include a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Toronto and a PhD student at Concordia University, where Parnian earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems Engineering.
