Dan McGinnis

Dan McGinnis is the current Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Ambac Financial Group. Dan has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Dan started their career in 1994 as an account executive at Sedgwick Global New York. Dan then spent four years at Marsh USA as an account executive before moving to AIG in 2002. At AIG, Dan worked their way up to Division Executive.

In 2013, Dan left AIG to join CapSpecialty as their Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Dan served in this role for over eight years before joining Ambac Financial Group in 2021.

Dan McGinnis attended the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School and completed their Executive Development Program in Business Administration and Management, General. Dan then attended Fox School of Business at Temple University and earned their BBA in Economics, Risk Management & Insurance.
