David Finocchiaro

David Finocchiaro has a strong background in financial planning and analysis. David is currently working as the VP and Head of Financial Planning at Ambac since September 2022. Prior to this, David worked at SageSure from 2014 to 2022, where they held various roles including Senior Director, Financial Analysis, Director, Financial Analysis, and Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. David was responsible for leading agile teams, managing projects and deliverables, developing planning models, and coordinating reinsurance and underwriting activities. Before joining SageSure, David worked at Willis Towers Watson as a Quantitative Analyst in 2013-2014. David analyzed data and delivered insights to executives on placement details, underwriting actions, and business development opportunities. Additionally, David gained experience in commercial insurance underwriting and brokerage as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter & Broker at Burns & Wilcox from 2010 to 2013. David also had internships at Dobson & Pinci Law Offices and AG Edwards Wachovia, where they assisted with legal and financial matters and worked as an investment analyst, respectively.

David Finocchiaro completed their education with a Master's Degree in Business Economics from Georgia State University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they attained Bachelor's Degrees in both Finance and International Relations from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their academic background, David further enhanced their qualifications with certifications such as the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) and the Charter Property and Casualty Underwriter, both obtained from The Institutes. Furthermore, they are currently a Level III Candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, provided by the CFA Institute.
