Gary Stein

First Vice President at Ambac Financial Group

Gary Stein, CPA has extensive experience in finance and accounting. Gary started their career in 1998 as a Staff Accountant at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where they provided auditing and consulting services for clients in the Financial Markets Division. Gary then joined Grant Thornton LLP in 2002 as a Senior Accountant I, where they monitored staff productivity, prepared financial analysis, and reviewed financial statements. In 2004, they joined Ambac as a Professional, responsible for maintaining data in the investment accounting system. Gary was later promoted to Assistant Vice President, where they maintained investment data, performed month-end closing packages, and prepared asset reconciliations. Gary's most recent position was as a First Vice President at Ambac, where they oversaw the accuracy of financial data in the company's fixed income investment portfolios and provided support to the First Vice President-Investment Products.

Gary Stein, CPA completed their education with a Masters degree in Accounting from St. John's University, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Forest Hills High School from 1994 to 1996. In addition to their educational background, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in January 2010 from the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions.
